Dear Editor,

I am writing to you for a second time because I am once again appalled at the writing that you feature in the paper.  The last time I wrote to you I mentioned that the coverage your writers had done on the debates between the Presidential and Vice-Presidential Candidates was, sadly,  featured in the Viewpoint section.

This led to immensely biased opinions of the performance and appearance of the candidates instead of the pressing matters that our society should have heard.  After reading the Election Day Edition I am amazed that you could have possibly considered publishing that piece written by your Viewpoint Editor titled “The media fiasco”.  As he states, “...uninformed voters will settle with the brief analysis of electoral candidates and make their decision based solely upon the bias of each respective network...” This is outrageous.

In regards to your own paper, the only time you have ever published something remotely related to the topics of debate among the candidates was this very same edition which, was only read by students on the day of election after you had already destroyed any hope of an unbiased voter group.

Another line from Grier’s editorial states that, “there has been more coverage on Sarah Palin’s wavering answers to the most important political issues, and John McCain’s perpetual maverick-ness than on informing voters about where they stand on the issues.”  I think an apology is in order.  I believe it is time for you to apologize to all the students at UNC Charlotte for not providing them with unbiased information on the two candidates so that they could have made their own informed decision.
