New campus radio station hits the web
Over the past few decades the notion of a UNC Charlotte radio station has been considered and some even came close to fruition. This year the Student Media Board has recognized Radio Free Charlotte (RFC) as UNC Charlotte’s new official campus radio.

Touring with bands such as Widespread Panic, Phish, and the Dave Matthews Band, The Freddy Jones Band released five major records for Capricorn Records since 1994.
